About the New Zealand Dollar
The New Zealand “dollar” (plural: dollars) is the official currency used in the country of New Zealand, as well as its external territories the Cook Islands, Niue, Ross Dependency, Tokelau, and the British territory the Pitcairn Islands Islands. Its official currency code is “NZD” and it is symbolized by “$”. The primary denominations include 10, 20 cent coins; 1 and 2 dollar coins (1 dollar = 100 cents); and 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollar paper bank notes.
