About the Hungarian Forint
The Hungarian “forint” (plural: n/a) is the official currency used in the country of Hungary. Its official currency code is “HUF” and it is symbolized by a “Ft”. The primary denominations include 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 forint coins; and 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10 000, 20 000 forint paper bank notes. In Hungary, decimal numbers are denoted using a comma (e.g. 1,50). The forint has a managed floating exchange rate that is tied to the Euro (the country will eventually adopt the Euro as part of its membership in the European Union).
