Swiss Franc (CHF)
About the Swiss Franc
The Swiss “franc” (plural: francs) is the official currency used in the country of Switzerland, as well as Liechtenstein, and the Italian municipality of Campione d'Italia. Its official currency code (ISO) is “BRL” and it is symbolized by “R$”. The primary denominations include 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes coins; 1, 2 and 5 franc coins (1 franc = 100 centimes); and 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 franc paper bank notes. In Switzerland, decimal numbers are denoted using a point (e.g. 1.50). The swiss franc has a managed floating exchange rate.
