About the Thai Baht
The Thai “baht” (plural: bahts) is the official currency used in the country of Thailand. Its official currency code is “THB” and it is symbolized by a “฿”. The primary denominations include 25 and 50 satang coins; 1, 2, 5, 10 baht coins (1 baht = 100 satangs); and 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 baht paper bank notes. In Thailand, decimal numbers are denoted using a point (e.g. 1.50). The baht has a managed float exchange rate that is pegged to a basket of currencies.
