About the Lithuanian Litas
The Lithuanian “litas” (plural: litai) is the official currency used in the country of Lithuania. Its official currency code is “LTL” and it is symbolized by a “Lt”. The primary denominations include 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 centas coins; 1, 2, 5 litas coins (1 litas = 100 centas); and 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 litas paper bank notes. In Lithuania, decimal numbers are denoted using a comma (e.g. 1,50). The litas has a managed float exchange rate that is tied to the euro.
