About the Japanese Yen
The Japanese “yen” (plural: n/a) is the official currency used in the country of Japan. Its official currency code is “JPY” and it is symbolized by a “¥”. The primary denominations include 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 yen coins (1 yen = 100 sen, however, sen are no longer in circulation); and 1000, 2000, 5000, and 10 000 yen paper bank notes. In Japan, decimal numbers are denoted using a point (e.g. 1.50). The yen has a floating exchange rate.
